Shawnee Heights High School

Shawnee Heights High School is a high school located in Tecumseh, Kansas, east of Topeka, Kansas.

The district has a student population of approximately 3,500 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. Four elementary schools and a 7/8 middle school and a 9-12 high school comprise the attendance centers of the district. The district has an ideal location, 8 miles (13 km) from downtown Topeka, 16 miles (26 km) from Lawrence, 50 miles (80 km) from Kansas City, 62 miles (100 km) from Manhattan and 50 miles (80 km) from Emporia.

In the summer of 2006 the school received a remodeling and a new construction project after the passage of a bond issue in 2005. This project will continue in the summer of 2007.
