[edit] Early career
Reared in Oakville, Ontario, Stipich attended White Oaks Secondary School, where he wrestled at a High School level. In his graduating year, he won the Top Athlete Award. Shawn was also a 3 time Ontario Provincial wrestling champion as well as placing 2nd and 3rd at the Canadian Espoir National Wrestling Championships. He also placed second in the Pac-10 conference wrestling championships two consecutive years as he wrestled in a division 1 NCAA wrestling program for the Boise State University Broncos as their starting heavyweight 3 consecutive years. Shawn advanced it to the sweet sixteen man bracket before being eliminated by a single point in double overtime his senior year. He later trained as a professional wrestler under Dory Funk, Jr. and debuted in 1996 as Shawn Stasiak in the Pacific Coast Championship Wrestling promotion.
[edit] World Wrestling Federation
Stasiak soon got a WWF development deal and was sent to Power Pro Wrestling, where he stayed until he was called up to the WWF to wrestle as Meat, the boy-toy of the "Pretty Mean Sisters", Terri Runnels, Jacqueline, and Ryan Shamrock (who left WWF after a few months). He made his WWF debut on the April 18, 1999 episode of Sunday Night HEAT, to attack Tiger Ali-Singh. Meat picked up many impressive victories for a few months over superstars such as Droz, Brian Christopher, and the Blue Meanie. Meat would soon be relegated to jobber status; the on-air explanation for this was that Meat would tire himself out before matches by sexually pleasuring PMS. This led to Jacqueline leaving Meat and Terri by themselves.
The gimmick only lasted a few months before he split from Terri after Terri saw Meat kissing Marianna, Terri's nemesis on the Titantron. This led to her and Chaz attacking Meat. In the next couple weeks Meat returned to his first ring name Shawn Stasiak. He had a brief feud with Kurt Angle until early fall of 1999.
Stasiak was later suspended in December of 1999 when other wrestlers accused him of secretly taping conversations.[citation needed] Stasiak would later return under contract with the WWE in 2001.
[edit] World Championship Wrestling
Shawn Stasiak went to WCW in 2000, where he got his biggest push in his career. Stasiak debuted on the April 10, 2000 episode of Nitro, attacking Curt Hennig. He later joined the "New Blood" Faction and feuded with Curt Hennig. He was called the "Perfect One" and, later, "PerfectShawn" Stasiak in a ripoff of Hennig's "Mr. Perfect" gimmick. Stasiak picked up two victories over Curt Hennig including Stasiak's WCW Pay-per-view Debut on May 7, 2000 at Slamboree before Hennig became impressed with Stasiak and briefly coached Stasiak before Curt's WCW contract expired in June 2000.
In late-June, he formed the team the Perfect Event with Chuck Palumbo, and they won the WCW World Tag Team Titles. Their main feud was against KroniK (Brian Adams & Bryan Clark).
In August, Stasiak and Palumbo helped form the Natural Born Thrillers with Mike Sanders, Sean O'Haire, Mark Jindrak, Johnny "The Bull" Stamboli, and Reno. They were briefly "coached" by Kevin Nash.
He and Palumbo won the WCW World Tag Team Titles two more times before splitting in early January 2001 when Shawn and Chuck won a tag team battle royal with Sean O'Haire and Mark Jindrak. Mike Sanders declared both teams victorious and that one member from each team would start teaming together and get a tag team title shot against the Insiders (Diamond Dallas Page and Kevin Nash).
Shawn and Chuck split, and Chuck began teaming with Sean O'Haire. Chuck and Sean defeated the Insiders and became tag team champions while Shawn Stasiak and Mark Jindrak began teaming together.
In January 2001, the Natural Born Thrillers broke up when Shawn Stasiak and Mark Jindrak became jealous of Chuck Palumbo and Sean O'Haire. The two teams faced off at SuperBrawl Revenge on February 18, 2001 for the tag team gold, but Palumbo and O'Haire retained their titles.
In March 2001, Stasiak acquired the services of Miss Hancock as his valet and was somewhat revealed as the supposed "father" of Miss Hancock's Baby, which turned out to be a stack of 8x10's in a stroller. Stasiak was given monikers Shawn 'The Star' Stasiak and 'The Mecca Of Manhood'. He also started a feud with Bam Bam Bigelow that wound up with Stasiak defeating Bigelow on the very last WCW Nitro on March 26, 2001. When Vince McMahon and the WWE purchased WCW and most of the talent contracts, Stasiak was among them.
[edit] Return to WWF/The Alliance/WWE
Shawn Stasiak returned to the WWF in July 2001 as part of the Alliance after WCW was bought by the WWF. Stasiak won at WWF InVasion where he, Chris Kanyon, and Hugh Morrus defeated The Big Show, Billy Gunn, and Albert. Through August he was made out to be clumsy trying to impress the Alliance leader Steve Austin. Every time he tried attacking big WWF superstars such as The Rock or Kurt Angle he would run into a wall, statue, milk truck, or just completely miss and trip over his boots. In late August, Stasiak was also briefly paired with Stacy Keibler again, but she stopped being his valet in late September to manage the Dudley Boyz. He was injured soon after and was out of action until late October. On November 18 at Survivor Series 2001, Stasiak lost his job (in kayfabe) along with all of the Alliance members, as the story went, when Team WWF defeated Team Alliance. However, the Alliance members still worked house shows and dark matches for a while until being ready to be called up to the main active roster, but Stasiak was injured in late November and it required surgery on his knee to remove his bursa sac but was cleared to wrestle January 1, 2002.
In February 2002, Shawn Stasiak was sent to the Heartland Wrestling Association for training and to work off the ring rust.
Shawn Stasiak was called up to the RAW brand in late-March 2002 and had his return televised match on the April 7, 2002 edition of WWF HEAT defeating Tommy Dreamer and the following week on HEAT Stasiak was defeated by Goldust.
Stasiak made his return to RAW on April 15, 2002 under his new gimmick Planet Stasiak. He claimed that he was from Planet Stasiak, and he heard voices, talked to himself with rhymes, and acted comically insane. On this same night, Stasiak was defeated by The Big Show.
Stasiak traded the Hardcore title several times with Steven Richards, Justin Credible, Bradshaw, and Tommy Dreamer. He remained on the show Heat until he requested his early release to go and pursue other business ventures on September 27, 2002.
[edit] Semi-Retirement
After his release, Stasiak retired and became a chiropractor. He recently attended Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas and received his doctorate in Chiropractic in August 2006. He continues to make occasional wrestling appearances.
