Shawn Harrison (b. March 20, 1965, Anderson, Indiana) is a lawyer and City Councilman in Tampa, Florida.
He is a graduate of the University of South Florida and the University of Florida College of Law. He has been a practicing attorney in Tampa since graduating from law school. His legal specialty is commercial litgation.
Harrison is a longtime civic leader in Tampa and a resident of the New Tampa community. He has previously served on the Hillsborough County Consumer Protection Board and the Hillsborough County Public Transportation Commission. From 1996 to 1999 he was Chairman of the Tampa Palms Community Development District.[1]
He was elected to the Tampa City Council in 1999 and reelected in 2003. A Republican, Harrison was elected in non-partisan elections to represent District 7.
In 2007, Harrison sought a city-wide Council seat but lost to Mary Mulhern.
