Shaun McSkimming (born May 29, 1970 in Stranraer) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a midfielder.

McSkimming began his career with Dundee in 1987 and managed over twenty league appearances during his four years at Dens Park. In 1991, he moved to to Kilmarnock and made over 100 league appearances during his three years at [Rugby Park]]. McSkimming moved to Motherwell in 1994 and managed 63 league appearances during a four-year spell, before moving back to first club Dundee in 1998. Ironically, McSkimming played exactly the same number of league games before moving in July 2001 to the United States with Atlanta Silverbacks. On his return to Scotland in 2002, McSkimming began a short spell with Peterhead, leaving at the end of the 2001-02 season only to return at the start of the following season.
McSkimming retired from playing in 2005 but stayed on in a coaching capacity with the club.
