Shaun McConnell (born 1975 in Youngstown, Ohio) is an American drummer and songwriter most notable for performing with the power metal band Tempo Tantrum.

In 1989, he formed a rock band with life-long friend Dion Pomponio and began aggressively performing throughout the mid-western club circuit. The band, Tempo Tantrum, grew to be very popular as a progressive metal alternative to the grunge music scene at the time. McConnell saw the band's greatest success in the European rock markets throughout the 1990s. The 1995 album, "Into The Realm", was featured on the German and Netherlands Metal 100 charts.
