Shaun Foley (born 29 August 1986 Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) is a rugby league player and a member of the National Rugby League's (NRL) Sydney Roosters squad. He is approximately 6 foot tall and weighs around 180 pounds.

He is a former rugby union player and also starred in the Australian Schoolboys Rugby team that lost to New Zealand 21-16 in 2004 (it was actually Foley who scored all 16 points for the Australian team).

He has played only 7 NRL games in 2006, however, he has scored 6 tries and been a consistent all round player. He also starred in the Roosters 40-20 victory over the North Queensland Cowboys in which he scored two tries to boost his team to the win. He is also a handy goal kicker although he is yet to attempt a conversion in the NRL.

Foley's record in the NRL isn't great; he has won just three out of his seven games although he has played above average football in every appearance.

The return of injured Australian fullback Anthony Minichiello means that Foley will be benched or possibly demoted to the Premier League or Jersey Flegg competitions, which would seriously slow down his chances of becoming a regular first grade player.

On a positive note, he has re-signed until the end of 2008, seeing him play in the Tri-Colours jersey for years to come.

Most people believe that Foley will become an integral part of the 2007 team that will attempt to pull the club out of a steady decline which occurred in the 2005-2006 seasons. Following the Roosters failure to make the top 8, Foley will return to Jersey Flegg for the rest of this season with hopes of making and possibly winning the grand final.
