Sharon Owens (née Coll) (born 1968) is a novelist from Northern Ireland.
Born in Omagh, County Tyrone, she was the second of five children. She studied illustration at the Art College in Belfast (having moved there in 1988). She is married to Dermot Owens (since 1992) and has one daughter, Alice Owens (born: 1993). She began writing in 2002. Published by Penguin books, her books include: The Teahouse on Mulberry Street, The Ballroom on Magnolia Street and The Tavern on Maple Street. Her books have been published in numerous countries including Australia, America, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, France, Poland, Holland, Germany and Lithuania. Sharon's father is the singer Brian Coll, and her great-uncle is the late writer Benedict Kiely.
