Sharky and George

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sharky and George (original name: Sharky et Georges) was a French children's TV cartoon from 1992. It was translated to English and shown on Sky Channel and Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, RTÉ Two in Ireland, RTV Politika in Serbia and Cartoon Network in Scandinavia.

Sharky and George was a humorous show about two fish private detectives, set in the underwater city of Seacago. Sharky, the bigger fish, is a pink shark, has a huge nose, and wears a Humphrey Bogart -style fedora hat. George, the smaller fish, is blue with a yellow face, and looks noticeably younger than Sharky.

The show has a catchy theme song, with the chorus "Sharky and George - the crime busters of the sea/Sharky and George - clear up any mystery".

The cartoon was made by the Canadian animation company CinéGroupe who were also responsible for the cartoon Ovide and the Gang.
