Shark Meat Records is an independent record label based in New York. The label was founded by Armando Ortiz and Darren Ockert in 2005. The label was established as a digital label and it's artists and bands are released worldwide on major digital music services such as iTunes, Y! Music Unlimited, Napster, eMusic[1], Wal-Mart, Zune Marketplace, Urge and HMV Digital.
Shark Meat Records is a member of the American Association of Independent Music(A2IM).[2]
