ShareFile is an online file sharing service geared towards small businesses that have the need for securely sharing files.

Originally named projectPulse, the first version of ShareFile was launched in late 2003. In the fall of 2004, the product name was changed to ShareFile and was released to a limited customer base in the Southeast. In November of 2005, ShareFile released a new version of its software.[1]
ShareFile has established a solid user base of over 150,000 users and has received praise over the years for its ease of use and security.[2]
In 2008 ShareFile was nominated for and became a winner of CNET's Webware100 in the category of Utility/Storage, there were over 1.9 million votes for the 2008 awards.[3]
