Shaone Morrisonn (born December 23, 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia) is a professional ice hockey defenceman who currently plays for the Washington Capitals of the NHL.

A veteran of the Kamloops Blazers of the WHL, Morrisonn was drafted in the 1st round, 19th overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He was later dealt to the Capitals on March 3, 2004 in the trade that sent Sergei Gonchar to the Bruins.

Morrisonn is often paired with 2007–2008 NHL lead goal-scoring defenceman, Mike Green. He has been credited as a major contributor to Green's offensive explosion during the 2007–2008 season.[1] Green's numbers were far better during this season when he played with Morrisonn than without him. [2]

Morrisonn has begun to prove himself as a tough, stay-at-home defenceman. During the 2008 NHL playoffs, Morrisonn played every game with a broken jaw and a separated shoulder as the team's number one defenceman. [3]
