Shanti Mandir
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Shanti Mandir is a worldwide community of people learning and teaching traditional Hindu or yogic practices both in India and in the United States. It was established in 1987 by Swami Nityanand (b. 1962), one of the two successors of Swami Muktananda, the second guru of the Siddha Yoga lineage. The group has its U.S. headquarters at a large country ashram also called Shanti Mandir in Walden, New York. It also maintains two ashrams in India, one in Magod near Valsad in Gujarat and the other near Haridwar.
