Shantar Islands

The Shantar Islands are a group of fifteen islands, up to 720 metres in altitude, that lie in the western part of the Sea of Okhotsk, close to the Russian mainland. The main island is Bolshoy Shantar Island (1790 km2). Other islands include Feklistova Island (372 km2) and Maly Shantar Island (100 km2).
