Shannon McGauley (b. 1963) is the co-founder, spokesman, and president of the Texas Minuteman Project, USA, the Texas branch of The Minuteman Project Inc..
In early 2005, McGauley volunteered in a Minuteman Project Inc. patrol in Arizona. There, he met Minuteman leaders Jim Gilchrist, and Terry Anderson. After a short time, it was decided among the three men that the Minuteman Project Inc. should expand into Texas. It was then decided that McGauley should begin the project in Texas. McGauley shortly thereafter registered the name "Texas Minutemen LLC," based in Arlington. He later dissolved the company, and opted to create the "Texas Minutemen" company as a 501(c) organization. Under the 501(c) status, the group could support a political candidate.
