Shanmuganatha Pattanam

Shanmuganatha Pattanam ( 9°52′12.17″N, 78°43′31.44″E) is a small Nagarathar village in Sivaganga district which is located near Devakottai. The village is over 150 years old. Previous to their presence in this area, most citizens of Shanmuganatha Pattanam were living in a village called Panakkarai. Shanmuganatha Pattanam has a good water supply from TWAD (Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board)[1]. It has one large pond (Oorani) from which all the people in the surrounding area get their drinking water.
