Shankar Vihar

Shankar Vihar is a residential complex for the serving Officers and their family of Indian Army, Indian Air Force & Indian Navy, provided by the Government of India. Currently there are more than 278 Houses including Permanent & Temporary. Shankar vihar is surrounded by plane open fields (plane lands just above from it) and lush green trees and bushes. These Buildings are maintained by the MES - Military Engineering Services. Though these building are new and certainly have a good surrounding but these building are in bad condition.
Shankar Vihar has a shopping complex. Army Public School opened in Shankar Vihar in April 2007. AWWA is also located in Shankar Vihar.
People get a panoramic view of planes while landing or taking off.
