Shanghai Yangtze River Crossing Project, also called Shanghai Yangtze River Bridge & Tunnel, Chongming Crossing River Project, Huchong Crossing Project, is the name of Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel and Shanghai Yangtze River Bridge. It is the part of Shanghai-Xi'an Express Way, one part of the National Express Way Network of Peoples' Republic of China, expect open in 2010.

[edit] Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel
Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel starts from Wuhaogou,Pudong,Shanghai, crossing the south part of Yangtze River and ends at southwest of Changxing Island, length is 8.5 km, and connects the Shanghai Yangtze River Bridge.
The tunnel has 2 ground, upper ground is the express way, have 6 lanes in two directions, designed speed is 80km/h, lower ground is observed for the future metro line.

Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel starts from southwest of Changxing Island, the exit of the Shanghai Yangtze River Tunnel, crossing Changxing Island in the ground, then crossing the north part of Yangtze River from eastwest of Changxing Island, ends at Chenjia Town,Chongming,Shanghai, connects the Chongqi Bridge. Total length is 16.63km, 6.66 for road while 9.97 for bridge. The bridge also have 6 lanes in two directions, designed speed is 80km/h, two sides of the bridge will observed for the future metro line.
