Shane Robinson (born 17 December 1980 in Waterford) is an Irish football midfielder who currently plays for Drogheda United in the FAI Premier League. He is a right-sided midfield player with pace, tenacity and vision. Scored Drogheda's first ever goal in European competition [1]
He is also on the PFAI management committee [2].
Before he joined Drogheda he played for junior club Waterford Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers.
Shane signed for Rovers in 1999 and made a scoring debut against his current club [3]. His first month in the league he was awarded Player of the Month.
He went on to play for six seasons making 5 appearances in European competition. He was Player of the Year for the 2001/2002 season [4].
