Shane McNamara

Shane McNamara is an Australian television and film actor who is best known for his many appearances in the recurring role of Gino Esposito in the Australian soap opera Neighbours.

He has also played a character called 'Rat in a Hat' in the children's television show Bananas in Pyjamas. He has made numerous television appearances in other Australian series including Satisfaction, All Saints, Blue Heelers, Snobs and Water Rats.

Shane's acting career began without informing any of his family or friends and he faked a career in England as he followed his dreams in Australia. His career in acting meant that a promising career as a Mechanical Engineer with Rolls Royce ended, however he intended to return to engineering if his acting career ever ended.

He spends his spare time enjoying a friendly game of rugby or cricket and is also an avid stamp collector with a collection of over 10,000 stamps.
