Shane McDermott

Shane McDermott (born Shane Francis McDermott, April 24, 1976, Middletown, New York) is an American actor. After bartending in downtown Manhattan, he moved to Galveston, Texas where he managed the bar at an upscale Italian restaurant. McDermott currently sells high dollar resort real estate on the west end of Galveston Island.

- In 2004 Shane bought a house built in 1856 that sits in the center of Galveston's East End Historic District. During renovations the house collapsed. The construction company he originally hired to do the renovation work went bankrupt. Unable to find a contractor willing to repair the house; he pulled the permits and re-built the house himself.
- Shane currently sits on Galveston's Landmark Committee.
- Shane sells real estate for a Century 21 Bay Reef Realty on Galveston's West End.
- In 2007 he was appointed to Galveston's Comprehensive Plan Committee.
- Shane also sits on the Board of Advisors for the Galveston Historical Foundation.
