Shane Robin Hill (born December 12, 1965) in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia is an Australian politician. He has been an ALP member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly since February 2001, representing the electorate of Geraldton.[1]
Hill defeated the sitting Liberal member, Bob Bloffwitch, in the 2001 state election, which was regarded as an astonishing victory. In the 2005 state election Hill held the seat by a margin of 2.7%[2]
Hill was a member of the standing committee for Health and Education from 2001 to 2005. He has also been a member of the Joint Parliamentary Services Committee since 2001 and a member of the Community Development and Justice Standing Committee since 2005.
In 2006 Hill was appointed to be the Government Whip of the Legislative Assembly.
