[edit] Shakespearience Show

The Shakespearience Show is presented in two acts and lasts just under one hour.

The first act finds UK television presenter Quentin Willson giving a guided tour of the town of Stratford-upon-Avon and an interpretation of William Shakespeare's life from birth to the grave.

The second act uses a modernised Victorian era special effect, Pepper's Ghost, to create seemingly ghost like characters on the stage, acting out highlights from nine of Shakespeare's best loved and most well known plays.

There are many other special effects adopted (flashes of lightning, gusts of wind, etc.) in order to encourage audiences to 'feel', rather than simply 'look at', the great Bard's works. The part of William Shakespeare is played by David Bradley, known for his role as Filch in the Harry Potter films.

[edit] Education Programme

At present, Shakespeare remains an integral part of the UK's National Curriculum for English,[1] particularly for Key Stage 3 and upwards.

Each year, Shakespearience attends the Education Show at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, in order to gauge what teachers are looking for. In order to meet the demands of teachers looking for more ways to engage and excite their pupils, Shakespearience also offers Workshops, Theatre Days, Specialised Events and more.
