Shaker Maker is a toy invented in the 1970s of the firm Ideal Toy Company. The toy was primarely sold in the USA but at the end of the 1970s and the beginning of the 1980s also sold in Europe.

It is a toy for children aged four years and older. The idea is for children to make there own figures easily. The base element is a powder called "Magic Mix" which must be stired with water and will then merge in seconds to a consistent substance, this is done with filled in molds, and after five minutes the figures are ready to take out of the mould and should be left to dry for the next few days. After drying the figures can be painted and decorated.

First invented by the firm Ideal Toy Company it came in stores in the early Seventies. In the early Nineties the firm Toymax, New York was producing it again. [1] After that it was reissued by the Canadian firm Spin Master in the year 2003. [2]

Manual

  1. Fill cap to water line with cool water.
  2. Pour contents of Magic Mix package into water.
  3. Close moulds halves around the cap.
  4. Place shaker bottom over assembled mold halves and shake with bottom up 10 to 20 seconds.
  5. Turn shaker over and place on a table and wait five to ten minutes.
  6. Remove the bottom.
  7. Separate the mold halves.
  8. Place figures of the drying stand. The figures shrinks about fifty percent of its size.
