Shaikh Alauddin Siddqui Sahib, Naqshbandi.

Alongside commanding a following of over 10 million worldwide - since previous records 5 years ago, and in an effort to improve the plight of the indigenous people of Pakistan Hazrat Siddiqui Sahib embarked upon establishing an education centre concentrating on all contemporary subjects in conjunction with basic Islamic subjects. He holds the position of Chancellor of Mohiuddin Islamic University (MIU), with the central campus in Nerian Sharif and over 70 affiliations through out Pakistan and Kashmir.

A significant branch of MIU will be launched later this year, Mohiuddin International Medical College will inarguably be one of the biggest and prestigious seats of learning for all medical sciences in Pakistan (InshAllah) and in time, the world over. One of the cornerstones of MIU is that all subjects are taught side by side Islamic teachings and to this end a considerable proportion of the curriculum is devoted to Islamic subjects (Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Tassawwaf etc.) ensuring all that graduate from MIU will be both professionals of their respective subjects as well as being authentic Islamic scholars. All with the aim of reviving and reclaiming the Islamic golden era.

In the recent south-Asian earthquake where over a 100,000 died and countless made homeless, Hazrat Alauddin Siddiqui Sahib took 500 orphans and widows in his guardianship, providing them with food, clothing, shelter and education. Though this number has since reduced due to families adopting close relatives and friends it was nevertheless a great feat at a time of great pain and distress.

In light of current social and cultural trends Hazrat Siddiqui Sahib felt that a television channel devoted to broadcasting an Ahle Sunnah wal Jamma’ agenda was necessitated to counter the corruption, hypocrisy and immorality being broadcasted by the mainstream media. Noor TV was proposed as an answer to this. The mission of Noor TV is to be a family-oriented channel and broadcast everything within the boundaries of Sharia and the Aqai’d of the Ahle Sunnah wal Jamma’.

Noort TV has been launched on BSkyB Channel 822.

Although Hazrat Pir Alauddin Siddiqui Sahib is in a state of constant struggle in his service to Islam and can be found in any part of the world at any given time, he however, is most often based in Nerian Sharif - Azad Kashmir; Rawalpindi - Pakistan or Jameah Mohi-ul-Islam Siddiqia - Birmingham.

Hazrat Sahib’s spiritual lineage is through Shaikh Ghulam Mohiuddin Ghaznavi of Nerian Sharif; Shaikh Mohammed Qasim Sadiq of Mohra Sharif all the way through to Hazrat Mujaddid-e-Azam Shaikh Ahmed Sirhindi which of course leads to Sayedna Siddiq-e-Akbar.
