Shahkot (Pakistan)

Shahkot is a Tehsil of Nankana Sahib District. The town has a population of 40 thousand and is located at 31°33'42" NORTH 73°29'15" EAST. It is situated at the Sheikhupura-Faisalabad Highway which makes it a rich traffic busy Tehsil of Nankana. The Town is directly connected by road to Sangla Hill, Chak Jhumra, Salarwala, Jaranwala and the district capital Nankana Sahib. Famous feature of the town is a chain of small hills which have medium size and low heights. Another cause of popularity is Shrine of Baba Nolukh Hazari. This shrine is situated at the summit of a hill and people visit it and offer prayers. At shrine a festival is conducted every year and birth of this Sufi is celebrated. People from far off area come to celebrate this festival.

Shahkot has many industrial units such as haseeb waqas sugar mills. And there are many other industries such as Rana Texile and Sitara Chemicals. Allah Hu Marble Factory Shahkot Tobacco Industry is one the famous.
