Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (popularly known as CBS) is located in Vivek Vihar, East Delhi, India. It was set up by the Human Resource Development Ministry in 1987 as the first collegiate business school in India to impart business and management education at the undergraduate level. Two decades since its inception, CBS has metamorphosed from a mere academic institution into a rich and glorious tradition, one that has shaped numerous lives and careers.
The school was awarded the "Best undergraduate degree" award by the Commonwealth nations.

[edit] Courses offered at CBS
The college offers four courses including three 3-year degree courses namely Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS), Bachelor of Financial and Investment Analysis (BFIA) and Bachelor of Science (H) Computer Science. The fourth one is a one and half a year full time Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA)

The admission process begins with an open advertisement in national dailies followed by the issue of the prospectus. A written examination is conducted nation-wide to check the mental, logical, verbal and analytical skills. The written test is followed by a group discussion and an interview. 100 Genral Students and 20 SC/ST students were selected each year. Two other colleges namely Keshav Mahavidyalaya and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College will also make use of the test scores for their BBS admission process. About 14781 candidates appeared for the entrance examination held on 1st June 2008.

At CBS, the emphasis is on problem solving in the real business environment by the way of summer training, case studies, simulations and projects. Teaching staff and principal are incompetent hence experts from various industries are invited on a regular basis in order to upgrade students’ knowledge and to provide an insight into the actual requirements of the industry. Every year a rich harvest of business managers, Financial analysts, and management experts emerge from the portals of CBS to further add to our nation’s corporate clan.
