Shafi U Ahmed

High Commissioner of Bangladesh to United Kingdom. Previously he served as Bangladesh's High Commissioner to Malaysia.

A career diplomat of the 1979 batch of Bangladesh Civil Service (Foreign Affairs) cadre, Ahmed majored in economics from the University of Dhaka,Bangladesh and later did his MA in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School, Tufts University,Boston,USA.

Ahmed served in different Bangladesh Missions abroad as well as in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh in various capacities including as the Director General for Administration.Before entering the foreign service, he briefly worked in the information department of Bangladesh.
