Shade Sheist (born Tramayne Thompson) is a hip hop recording artist from Inglewood, California. His first commercially released single "Where I Wanna Be" (on London Records) peaked at #60 on the Billobard Hot Hip-Hop/R&B Singles and Tracks and #37 on their Rhythmic Top 40, both in 2000[1]. In 2003 his single Wake Up hit #36 on the Rhythmic Top 40. His album Informal Introduction reached Billboard's #20 spot in its Heatseekers category and #69 in the top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums[2].
Shade Sheist has recorded with a number of relevant artists and producers including: Dr. Dre, Timbaland, DJ Quik, Teddy Riley, Mariah Carey, Bone Thugs n Harmony and many more[citation needed]. Some of Shade's notable musical achievements include songs on The Fast and The Furious and The Wash movie soundtracks, the Dark Angel television series soundtrack, and the True Crime: Streets of L.A. and 25 to Life videogame soundtracks.
