Shōkawa, Gifu

Shōkawa (荘川村 Shōkawa-mura?) was a village located in Ōno District, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. On February 1, 2005 the village merged with most of the other villages and towns from Ono District into the expanded city of Takayama. Though it is part of the new city, it has been able to keep its name and its area is referred to as Shōkawa-chō.

As of 2003, the village had an estimated population of 1,359 and a density of 4.20 persons per km². The total area was 323.28 km².
