[edit] BWL Hardcore Championship

A tag has been placed on BWL Hardcore Championship, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why BWL Hardcore Championship is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:BWL Hardcore Championship. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable. kralahome 01:59, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Paul Halbert jr., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to add more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Subwayguy 03:16, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Christian Bartik

Christian Bartik has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this person might not be notable enough for an article. Please review Wikipedia:Notability (people) for the relevant guidelines. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.

If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" template, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod template, the article will not be deleted, but if an editor is still not satisfied that it meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Same goes for Chris Indovino. NickelShoe (Talk) 03:48, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Could I suggest that mundane editorial disagreements are most likely to resolve quickly and productively when editors observe the following:

  • Remain polite per WP:Civility.
  • Solicit feedback and ask questions.
  • Keep the discussion focused. Concentrate on a small set of related matters and resolve them to the satisfaction of all parties.
  • Focus on the subject rather than on the personalities of the editors.

Thanks! SUBWAYguy 19:51, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding your edits

I've been watching your edits, and I notice that you haven't been welcomed or or have a good understanding of Wikipedia's rules, so let me do so right now, to save you some frustration and energy for later.

I would like you to read Wikipedia's policy on what Wikipedia is not. One of the things it lists, which I think is applicable to your edits, is that Wikipedia is not for things you come up with one day. Wikipedia is supposed to be collection of encyclopedic information, and thus not everything that has ever existed is worthy of an entry. Wikipedia has standards on how notable a subject must be to be included here. Unfortunately, while the backyard wrestling fed or the paintball team you and your friends particpate in may be important to you, it has to meet Wikipedia's standards of notability. So unless you, your friends or your organizations have been covered in reliable published sources or meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines in some other way, I would suggest you refrain from creating articles about them. Instead, try editing and improving existing articles and create articles that fit Wikipedia's inclusion guidelines.

I hope this advice helps. If you have any questions, just head over to Wikipedia:Questions, reply on my talk page, or just put {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask there. NeoChaosX (talk, walk) 11:31, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Attention

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks may lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you.
