[edit] The vandal

66.144.52.229 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · block user · block log) a serious repeat vandal has been blocked for a period of 69 hours. Thank you for posting your request on AIV. ¡Dustimagic! (T/C) 19:28, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] IPs

You don't need to welcome IPs before you warn them - welcomes are meant mainly for registered users, especially because some IPs are shared by hundreds of people. – ugen64 15:53, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Userpage

You should probably create a userpage, because other users are more likely to take you more seriously as an editor if you do, for some reason. Just a tip. --RabidMonkeysEatGrass 00:54, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hulkdomo

It is a bit interesting to sit back and observe vandals in their natural habitat. When confronted with wisdom, they revert to a preset routine of doing nothing; then, when confronted about vandalism, they call out their friends and make silly comments. :) I'm enjoying this too much, aren't I? :P Take care, _-M o P-_ 21:32, 4 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Moving pages

Concerning your move of La Amistad National Park from its Spanish name to the English name, in the future please try not to move articles by just cutting the wikicode from one article and pasting it into another. Instead, use the "move" button in the top toolbar. This allows the edit history to be copied to the new location as well, which makes tracking changes a whole lot easier. Since La Amistad National Park was just a redirect to Parque Internacional La Amistad with no previous history, except for a move from the English name to the Spanish name a while ago (since the article was originally created under the English name), the MediaWiki software should have let you move the page. If I'm mistaken, and you tried to use the "move" button, but the software didn't allow you to move the page, then I apologise. In any case, for more info, see meta:Help:Moving a page, thanks. --Aramգուտանգ 18:33, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

No problem, it happens to the best of us. I was just selfishly concerned that I somewhat lost the bragging rights of having created the article :) --Aramգուտանգ 18:45, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Costa Rica

I would like to say "thank you" for your recent geographic additions to Costa Rica. They are very much appreciated. Are you a Costa Rican citizen? - Darwinek 08:50, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Just wondering...

...why you have moved lots of articles from X to X Volcano? I don't think this is necessary or correct, as generally they are not ever referred to in English as X Volcano. Your reason for the moves was 'standardising within category' - what do you mean by this? Worldtraveller 19:32, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I disagree with the current titles, as they (and the intros) sound extremely awkward in English. It would be better, I think, to have them at the Spanish title than to use a literal translation which is in fact never used by English speakers. Worldtraveller 17:14, 12 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Costa Rica geo-stub

Hi - due to the recent increase in the number of Costa Rica stubs (your work?), I withdrew my objection to the stub and have just created {{CostaRica-geo-stub}}. Use it well :) Grutness...wha? 11:14, 11 April 2006 (UTC)
