[edit] History

Sexy Hair was founded as Ecoly International in 1992 by Michael O'Rourke, a two-time world champion hairstylist.[not specific enough to verify] The company changed its name in 2000 after the success of the Sexy Hair brand name. Prior to founding Ecoly International, O'Rourke owned and operated a chain of 35 salons in South Africa and, after his arrival in the United States, established a chain of 30 salons and stores in southern California.

In March of 2006, Jim Morrison joined Sexy Hair as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer.[1] Prior to his arrival at Sexy Hair, Morrison was responsible for the creation of Graham Webb and then served as President of the Professional Salon Division of L'Oreal.
