Talk:Sewell Avery
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is biased. James Grant had a much more even-handed treatment of the man in Money of the Mind; Mr. Grant also discusses his decline as a businessperson in addition to Avery's decline as a political figure. Had I still had a copy of it, I'd be re-writing the whole thing: it's much better than World-War-2-era fight propaganda. My great-grandfather on my father's father's side lived to see the end of that war.
[edit] Biased and inaccurate
I agree with the post above, this article is biased, insinuating the man was a fascist by its sources. It is also inaccurate: Sewell Avery did not die in 1955, rather the 1960s. His obituaries are easily found. The article should be removed or at the very least flagged. He was a founder of the Museum of Science and Industry among other things. Much more could be said, but I don't have the sources at hand. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jlaforest (talk • contribs) 10:01, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
