[edit] tomala seva at tirumala.
- Comment moved here from Wikipedia talk:Talk page
In the description given about tomala seva at tirumala its wrongly mentioned that it is worship using basil i.e tulsi but it is not worship using tulsi leaves, and worship using tulsi leaves is called sahasranamarchana, where tulsi leaves are offered to the lotus feet of SRI VENKATESHWARA SWAMY VARU,by reciting thousand names of the lord. tomala=tol+mala, tol means shoulder in tamil, mala means garland, hence a garland which is adorned on the shoulder is called tomala.the diety is adorned with fresh fragrant colurfull garlands.sri ramanujacharya has prescribed the amount of flowers to be used, the length of these malas etc.
well how is that this mistake be rectified in the main article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Niranjan105 (talk • contribs) 09:53, June 27, 2007 (UTC) – Please sign your posts!
