Setherex, why are you creating copies of pages for Spongebob episodes when the pages already exist? I am very confused. Please reply here.--Kchase T 05:24, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Eh, I'm new to the talking thing, so I hope this is the way to do it. I tried to find a way to change the title to include the words "Spongebob Squarepants episode" in parenthesis, which would give more information to those that are confused. As well as other titles have it.
If there was an easier way to do it, sorry. Please tell me if so. Thanks for the time to send me a message by the way =). Note, I'm new to this.--Setherex—Preceding unsigned comment added by Setherex (talk • contribs)
- I'm new to this I know; no sweat. If you want to change the titles, the easiest way would be to simply move the pages in question by following the instructions at Help:Moving a page. If there is already an episode page, like Bummer Summer, then moving the page will leave a redirect where the original was, so people who are looking for that particular episode will be able to find it without typing the whole page name. It's only a guideline, but the "episode articles" section at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (television) suggests just leaving such pages as is if there is nothing else with the same name. That also seems to be the convention at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Television_episodes#Naming. Wikipedia is frustrating, because there are so many of these obscure conventions that subcommunities have come up with about how to do things. Anyway, your well-intentioned work is certainly appreciated, but it appears the consensus is to keep such pages titled without the parenthetical reference, so perhaps the best thing is to let them be. btw, you can sign posts on talk pages with four tildes: ~~~~.
