Since 1998, I have devoted nearly every waking hour to advance my knowledge and understanding of various markup and web programming languages. I try my very best to stick as closely to web standards as possible.
[edit] HTML/XHTML
I have been learning and using the HTML markup language for the past 9 years. I first learned to use tables to lay out content, but I now use CSS to do that instead of HTML. Currently, I use XHTML 1.0 Strict only. I also use Microformats.
[edit] CSS
CSS has more recently been introduced to me. I have been studying the syntax and use of CSS for the past 4 years. The current version of CSS that I use is CSS 2. I stick very closely to the ideal that CSS should be used for all content formatting instead of using XHTML.
[edit] PHP
The most recent web development language that I have picked up is PHP. For the past 2 years I have been studying PHP and some techniques used with it, such as OOP. I strive to learn more and more about PHP as each day passes.

Other languages that I know for use in web development include XML and XSLT. These are even more recent languages, to me, than PHP.

[edit] English
Growing up in the United States, I learned English as my main language. As every day passes, I become more and more aware of how idiotically complex the English language is. I am sorry for those of you out there who must learn it.
[edit] Japanese
I first became interested in learning about Japan and learning Japanese when I started watching anime. This interest greatly increased over time and eventually, in 2006, I finally began studying the language. I am still only able to speak simple sentences.
[edit] Spanish
Because my father grew up speaking the Spanish language, some of it rubbed off onto me. I am unable to speak it fluently, however, I am studying Spanish along-side Japanese. I hope to be able to speak spanish fluently one day.
[edit] Interests
Because I have already covered web development and programming, I will just talk about the remainder of my interests below.
[edit] Computing
I have always been interested in computing. I plan on eventually entering the computing field as a consultant. Currently my greatest interest in computing is with Microsoft products. I hope to become a Microsoft Certified Small Business Specialist.

I can usually be found listening to music any time that I am on the computer (which is most of the day). I, myself, am a musician. I have been playing the violin since 1998, and I have been playing the guitar since 2006. I mainly play the music set before me, instead of compose the music myself. Though I would very much like to compose music myself, I haven't had the time.

I am somewhat strict when it comes to my diet. I am currently on a diet that is very similar to the Abs Diet. I currently don't belong to a gym, but I did before. I had to stop because the gym closed. I plan on rejoining a gym soon, however.
