- Elizabeth Ann Seton (aka Mother Seton) an Episcopalian who converted to Roman Catholicism after her husband's death. She founded a catholic girls school in Emmitsburg, Maryland as well as the Sisters of Charity Roman Catholic order. The three Seton Hall schools in New Jersey as well as the Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania are named in her honor
