[edit] Death

Tobias' body was discovered in the swimming pool of his Florida home; the cause of death has not yet been officially disclosed. The details of his death were widely reported in The New York Times in a major article on December 4, 2007. They included accusations of drug use, bisexual dalliances with a go-go boy and gay porn star named Tiger, and murder.[2]

On December 17, 2007, a male escort and porn star named Lexx Parker gave an interview to The New York Post gossip column Page Six claiming a sixteen-month affair with Tobias that began in 2004 when the pair met at Micky's, a gay nightclub in West Hollywood, California. The item claims they were introduced by publicist Jason Sechrest, who said he did not recall the incident. "I do not remember ever hearing about or even meeting Seth Tobias, much less having known him well enough to introduce him to anyone as is implied in the Page Six story," Sechrest said, although he admitted that it was possible.[3]

Parker told the New York Post, "Seth knew I was a hustler and knew how much I charged" and "I did what I got paid to do." He noted Tobias enjoyed watching gay porn films while the two had sex. Page Six also reported that the relationship "cooled off when Parker moved to Las Vegas and Tobias told him that he was having problems in his marriage that he had to deal with, but they parted on good terms. Parker had no theory on who, if anyone, may have been involved in Tobias’ death, calling the situation only 'sad' and 'tragic.'" [4]
