Talk:Servilia Caepionis
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page says that Servilia's husband was M. Junius Brutus, which conflicts with the page for M. Junius Brutus (the assassin), which says his parents were Servilia and Decimus Junius Brutus.

The Decimus Junius Brutus Callaicus referred to here is not the right one. 20:39, 29 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] HBO's Rome
I'm a fan of the show too, but I think putting a photo of the actor who played Servilia in the TV Series isn't appropriate. I'm not even sure mentioning HBO's Rome would be appropriate at all if this article was more finished. Servilia was the Hilary Clinton of her day and it would be great if someone bettered this article. -BiancaOfHell 21:52, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
-The problem is that this is basically all the information we have on Servilia, from the sources anyway. LaurenCole 01:27, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- I could get you more information because I have access to some of Cicero's translated letters which mention her frequently but only around the 46 BC - 43 BC mark and either about Brutus' marriage to Porcia or Caesar's death. I'm not sure if it would be much of an improvement. --82.34.129.154 00:39, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

- If you have it, please add it! Thanks LaurenCole 19:06, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

- Okay, I did a little bit of editing. I'll keep sorting it out and adding the sources before there may not be a lot about her in history, other than the fact she was Brutus' mother and Caesar's lover, but Cicero does mention her a lot. --Sophie-Lou 12:32, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Timeline
Who died first? This article state Servilia died in 43BC; but before her death, she had received Brutus ashes. Now in a link to Brutus, it states that he died in 42BC. So my question is how can Servilia receive Brutus ashes before Brutus death? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.12.69.13 (talk) 15:37, 7 March 2007 (UTC).
- Because the date of 43 BC is incorrect. There is no actual date for her death. --82.34.129.154 18:38, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
