The Wayuu people has also the Spanish name of "Goajiros" or "Guajiros" - there are not "Wayuu a n d Goajira peoples". What is more important, the new settlements in the Guajira peninsula mentioned are at least partially for Wayuu people fled from the Colombian part of the same Guajira penisula, from the civil war. To bring this war to an end by peaceful means is a way to solve the settlement problems in the venzuelan Guajira too. There is obviously n o "colonization plan" of the Eastern peninsula made by the Chavez government. volker-wirth@t-online.de
