This article is good as far as it goes, but as with several on the history of the English cloth industry is deficient. In particular, the export of wool was declining long before the loss of Calais. Peterkingiron 13:03, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Isn't the name Serge from some kind of Roman general, an enemy of Gaius Julius Caesar? (Anonymous)
