[edit] Serendip

Surely there should be a mention of Serendip, an old name for Sri lanka, Clarke's adopted homeland? One of his books was even called "The view from Serendip." Totnesmartin 22:33, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

??? Wow-I did not know that...By all means put it in. Cas Liber 23:05, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
I was under the impression it was named because it was a particularly serendipitous find? can anyone verify that the geographical sense was intended? Dinoguy2 23:34, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Without asking the discoverers or seeing their paper, I can't verify it. May I be slightly cheeky and suggest that it's serendipitous? :) Totnesmartin 00:13, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
