[edit] Plot
Richard Dempsey, a childhood friend of Adam who has become a rogue MI6 spy, returns to the UK from Serbia after killing two MI6 spies 'Mozambique'-execution style. Harry has intelligence that he formerly had been working for a Serbian general, who is currently on trial in The Hague for war-crimes, and is attempting to assassinate Niko Grecic, a key witness under the protection of MI5.
Whilst Ros protects the key witness at her flat, Adam, Jo and Zaf have the job of finding Richard, with the aim to kill him. However, as Adam corners him in the Natural History Museum, Richard pleas with Adam that he is actually still on a Black-Ops mission, with the aim of protecting Grecic. Adam and Richard go solo to try and find Richard's partner Charlie Holland.
However, Grecic is shot, with Ros taking him to a surgeon's house (and later giving him her own blood to keep him alive) for an 'operation'. Adam is put under more pressure from Harry to kill Richard, but Richard's story seems to be valid, with only one more piece of the puzzle needed to all but confirm the story. Richard and Adam visit the library frequented by Charlie, hoping to find a specific book used for coding by Charlie and Richard to conceal a microdot index of their dealings. Just as they get to the book, Jo and Zaff stop them, but Richard and Adam go back to back, so that if the pair shoot Richard, they will also kill Adam, and convince them to go along with them. Richard locates the book - a first edition of EM Forster's Two Cheers for Democracy - , which is found to have micro-dots outlining the mission hidden in full stops.
Russell, who had denied knowledge of the black-ops mission, is confronted, revealing the whereabouts of the real assassins. Grecic later goes on to give evidence at the trial of the Serbian general, causing him to be found guilty. However, 6 months on, Grecic is in Rio de Janero, when there is a knock on his door. Richard walks in, executing Grecic 'Mozambique'-style.
