Sergi Belbel

Sergi Belbel (1963–) is a Catalan/Spanish playwright, as of 2005 the Director of the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya.He was born in Barchelona.His first act was "Calidoscopios y faros de hoy" in 1986.He became well known with his act "Caricies" in 1992.One year later he writes "Despres de la pluja" (after the rain).In 1994 he writes "Morir" (A moment before...).In this act was based the film of Ventura Pons "Morir (o No)", in 2000.

In Greece the act Morir was played for the first time from the theatrical organization "stigmi",2003. In 2008 "Morir" is played by the theatrical team of Asoee.
