Sergey Sivovolenko is a leading designer of computer aided tools for diamond processing. DiamCalc software was released in 1999 and remains the only comprehensive finished-diamond evaluation tool of its kind. Sivovolenko was on the organizing committee for the International Diamond Cut Conference (IDCC) held in Moscow, Russia in 2004. The company he chairs, Octonus, produces technology capable of rough diamond planning and optimization, color mapping, scanning and cut grading. The main competitors for Octonus are Sarin Technologies and Ogi Systems.
