Sergei Levteev

Sergei Levteev (IPA: [sʲir'gʲej lʲif'tʲejif]) is President of IBA Group.
Sergei Levteev was born on August 14, 1955 in the Primorsky Kray (Maritime Territory), Russia, in the family of a military officer. At the age of 15, he moved to Minsk, Belarus. He graduated from the high school #50 with a physical and mathematical bias in 1972.
The same year, Mr. Levteev entered the Minsk Radio Technical Institute (presently, the State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics), the faculty of automatics and computer engineering. In 1975, he graduated from university with honors.
After graduation, Mr. Levteev worked as an electronic engineer at the Computer Production Plant named after Ordzhonikidze (presently, the Minsk Computer Scientific Production Association – MPOVT). From 1985 to 1989, he worked at the Finland-based IT company Elorg-Data.
From 1989 to 1993, Mr. Levteev spent four years with the Computer Scientific Production Association (MPOVT), an IT enterprise with tens of thousands of employees. As Deputy General Director of MPOVT, he earned extensive senior executive experience.
Mr. Levteev has been president of IBA since the company’s inception in 1993. He spearheads all aspects of the company's business efforts, including overall vision and strategy. During his tenure, a small firm evolved into an international group of more than 2,000 employees.
Mr. Levteev was selected Entrepreneur of the Year 2002 by Belarus&Business, the leading Belarusian business edition. In March 2006, he received the prize "Best Minsk Entrepreneur for 2005" in the category “The Best Place of Work” from the Minsk City Council and the Minsk City Executive Committee. In 2006, Mr. Levteev was invited by the Belarusian business magazine Delo to become a member of its Public Editorial Board to oversee the column "Companies and Markets". In 2007, Mr. Levteev was elected the Chairman of the Council of the Belarusian scientific and technological association Infopark. In 2008, Mr. Levteev also became the Presidium Member of the International Public Association of Graduates and Trustees of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics.
