Sergei Bodrov Jr. (Сергей Сергеевич Бодров) (December 27, 1971 - September 20, 2002), the son of the Russian playwright, actor, director and producer Sergei Bodrov, was a Russian actor, famous for his lead role in the cult neo-Russian movie The Brother ("Brat"). He hosted the Russian version of American TV series Survivor before commencing work on his next film, The Messenger, in the mountains near Karmadon. He was killed in the Kolka-Karmadon rock ice slide after finishing the second day of shooting.[1]
