Serge Lemoyne

Serge Lemoyne (June 13, 1941 - July 12, 1998) was a Canadian artist from Quebec. He is known both as a performance artist and also primarily as a painter.

Among his many exhibits are an homage to Matisse and the "bleu, blanc, rouge". The former of these is a tribute to the Montreal Canadiens hockey team and also the three representative colours found in the flag of France[1]. One of Mr Lemoyne's best known pieces of work is "Dryden[2]", an understatedly simplistic portrait of a gardien's (goaltender's) mask, particularly that of Montreal Canadiens star goaltender Ken Dryden.
