Sequent (MUD)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

SequentII is a 1st generation DikuMUD multi-user domain (MUD) engine, derived from the original DikuMUD. SequentII was developed in the early 1990s on a Sequent multiprocessor machine (sequent.berkeley.edu), based on the freely distributed source code of DikiMUD. It was used as the basis for many later MUDs.

SequentII DikuMUD was created by Raja Kushalnagar ("Duke of Sequent") at the University of California, Berkeley and first released in 1991. Within months other mudders picked up the codebase and began to modify it for their own MUDs.

SequentII DikuMUD was a second generation mud derived from Sequent(I) which was developed by Matt ??? SequentI was the foundation for CopperMud.
