Adding covers is tricky: the images are generally copyrighted, and so you would need to give a valid rationale for fair use. I doubt you can find one for adding the cover of the book. In addition, I personally don't think it would add much to the article, so I would not be in favor of adding it (though I would not actively remove it on content grounds either). As to Snape's family, we know very little of it. Voldermot's, Harry's, Ron's families are all important within the story, and Dumbledore's plays an important role in the last book. Other than the fact that Snape is a half-blood, his family background is about as important as Quirrell's. And his half-blood status is already mentioned. That's my two cents, anyway.
